The best decision I have ever made was the decision to purchase a motorcycle! My first bike was a 2003 883 Sportster. I was so proud of this bike, finally buying it as a single Mom. I quickly figured out it wasn’t going to be enough power to keep up with the Big Boys, so I purchased a Dyna. I took my first trip to Sturgis in 2005. It was, and still is the
best road trip I have ever taken. Being in the wind, crossing country that is so beautiful, you almost ride off the road! The stories that I can tell. The friends I have made! There’s just something different about being a lady rider. I’m sure all riders feel the freedom of being on the open road. But for a woman, it’s so much more than that! Its freedom from the housework, from the kids, from work. It’s completely liberating! And I do believe that woman riders actually receive more respect than the guys. It seems to be a bigger accomplishment for a woman to ride. I since have wrecked my first Dyna at Reno Street Vibrations in 2006. Bought another Dyna and ran it hard on many trips, building more memories. I currently have an 2001 Dyna and love it! I could never find or replace the many friends and family I have developed over the years. The biker community is the best family I have ever had. It’s a family that doesn’t care who or where you’ve been, where you are right now, or where you’re going. They just simply love you for who you are, regardless. I can’t wait to see what the road brings next!
